ommunity Community service is a priority at MAC Design. We strive to help others in need and support significant research. Some of the organizations we have supported are listed below — click their links to learn more about them or to make a donation.
Katrina Relief Fund
When New Orleans and other cities were hit by Hurricane Katrina millions of people lost loved ones, as well as their homes and everything they owned. There was so much to be done, and there will be for many more years. MAC Design made a cash donation through the
- Ellen DeGeneres Katrina Relief Campaign.
We hope to continue to support the rebuilding of those areas hit the hardest.
Doctors Without Borders
While watching an episode of
- The Ellen DeGeneres Show,
- Mollyanne Sherman,
Owner of MAC Design, was inspired by Ellen and Robin Williams to send a donation in care of Ellen for
- Doctors Without Borders.
Children's Health Council
"Birthday Wish" — A birthday party was given for Mollyanne and at her request the invitation stated "no gifts please." Instead, a large vase was put out with a sign asking that guests make a donation to
- Children's Health Council
of Palo Alto. Mollyanne and her guests made a significant contribution to the organization.
Oakland Children's Hospital & St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital
MAC Design makes annual contributions to these children's hospitals, allowing them to provide better medical care to children who may otherwise be without.
Fremont Unified School District
MAC Design sponsored a creative workshop for teachers in the
- Fremont Unified School District.
Teachers learned techniques to incorporate into their everyday curriculum, supporting diverse teaching methods and allowing children to enjoy a well-rounded education.
Team in Training
One of MAC Design's clients was training for a 10K cross-country ski marathon with
- Team in Training,
a group that raises money for leukemia research. The client was looking for sponsorship for her endeavor and MAC Design was happy to contribute. Thank you to Randi Bethel for enlightening us about this great organization.
Breast Cancer 3-Day
Friends and colleagues have participated in this wonderful event, a three day walk to raise awareness and money for breast cancer research. MAC Design has been pleased to contribute each time.
